概况

公共数学系前身系北京商学院、北京轻工业学院基础部数学教研室。1999年与物理教研室合并组建北京工商大学数理部，先后隶属于数理部、基础部、数理系、计算机与信息工程学院、理学院等单位。2019年5月，北京工商大学成立新葡的京集团350vip(中国)官方网站，在原数学系基础上，学院组建成立公共数学系。公共数学系现有专任教师16名，其中教授1人，副教授8人，讲师7人。

教学和科研工作

公共数学系面向全校非数学专业的本科生开设数学类公共基础课程，主要承担高等数学(上)(下)、微积分(上)(下)、概率论与数理统计和线性代数四门公共数学课中、英文课程的课程建设，课程每学期涉及我校近5000名本科生。

同时，公共数学系还负责春、秋季校内数学竞赛及全国大学生数学竞赛的组织和辅导工作。近3年来，年均参赛人数近500人，竞赛成绩突出，22位同学获得全国一等奖，58位同学获得全国二等奖，94位同学获得北京市一等奖。

公共数学系教师的教学和科研方面实力较强。教学方面，全系教师积极投身教育教学改革，定期开展教研活动，对各门课程进行教学内容、教学方法、教学手段及课程思政的探索和研究，承担和参与多项教改项目。科研方面，公共数学系教师主持或参与国家级和市级科研项目多项，并在国内外核心期刊发表论文多篇。

Department of Public Mathematics

Overview

The predecessor of the Department of Public Mathematics is the Mathematics Teaching and Research Section of Beijing Business College and Beijing Institute of Light Industry. In 1999, the Mathematics Teaching and Research Section was merged with the Physics Teaching and Research Section, and then named as Department of Mathematics and Physics, Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU). The Department of Public Mathematics has been chronologically managed by the Department of Mathematics and Physics, the Department of Fundamental Courses, the Department of Mathematics and Physics, the School of Computer and Information Engineering，and the School of Science. In May 2019, the Department of Public Mathematics became a part of the newly-founded School of Mathematics and Statistics of BTBU.

The Department of Public Mathematics has 16 regular faculty members, including 1 professor, 8 associate professors and 7 lecturers.

Teaching and Research

The Department of Public Mathematics offers all basic mathematical courses and some elective courses for non-mathematics undergraduates. It mainly undertakes the teaching tasks of higher mathematics(I)(II), calculus(I)(II), probability & statistics and linear algebra for 5,000 non-mathematics undergraduates. The Department of Public Mathematics also takes charge of Mathematics Competition of College Students. In the past 3 years, the number of participants is 500 per year. The competitions have made outstanding achievements, and have many awards: 22 students have won the first prize in China, 58 students have won the second prize in China and 94 students have won the first prize in Beijing.

The Department of Public Mathematics is both teaching and research. In teaching, our faculty members devote themselves to educational innovations, and have accomplished a few teaching reform projects. In research, the faculty members of the Department of Public Mathematics host and participate in several National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and scientific projects of Beijing, and have published many papers on well-known international academic journals.
